“ If you eat the Longanisa here you will never be able to eat Longanisa anywhere. These things pop in your mouth. They are plump, soft and melt in your mouth with just enough give to make it a delicacy to chew. Each bite is a visit to heaven, you will need rice to temper it's flavor because it's almost overwhelmingly delicious. The flavors are an explosion of culture. It's history. You can taste the Spanish influence, blended with Phillipine's unique sense of flavors. I don't think any other Longanisa is anywhere near this. I don't think any sausage hits like this, if you live in the San Francisco area you need to try this. If you get one thing here it should be the Longanisa, garlic rice and Laing (leafy veggie in coconut milk.) If you want something sweet get the Turon. Jackfruit, Banana and other yummy things stuffed into a fried roll. Absolutely perfect. ”

“ They let me try everything and all the plates were . Too bad I didnt have a big enough stomach to have full entrees of everything. Worth every dollar. One of the better Filipino restaurants out there ”

“ Are there any Filipino food lovers here???I used to love going to Lucky Chances Casino in Daly City. No,not to gamble. Although I do believe I was born with "gambling in my blood"! I'd go there for the food at the Cafe and usually order the Sinigang. It's a soup that is sour and salty and has strong flavors of vinegar. It's my favorite Filipino dish and I love it even more than Shanghai lumpias! One of my favorite places for Filipino food is Turo Cafe and Grill. No frills place that makes homemade Filipino dishes. They have your usual standbys like pancit noodles, pork and chicken skewers, and lumpias. They also freshly make other items like sisig or kaldereta and many more items.. You can also get 1 or 2 item plates that comes with a choice of pancit or rice or both. I recommend you try their sinigang, you might become a believer! ”

“ belly was good, but honestly, I didn’t expect the lechon kawali to be that good. It was super delicious. All my guests kept asking where I bought it. What really surprised me was that even after about two hours from when it was cooked, it was still crispy. One of the staff, Ate May, told me to try it, and she was absolutely right. We’ll definitely be ordering it again. ”

“ My Filipino coworker invited me to Turo Cafe and Grill and I absolutely enjoyed the variety of meats, stews, and rice dishes. My favorites were the baby lumpias (egg rolls), the Turo (Jackfruit roll), the traditional Chicken Adobo with rice. Since we were dining for lunch we were not able to order the other great looking dishes. The one thing I appreciated while inquiring about the food was the offer from the server to sample items. The dining room was also clean and tidy. ”

“ I had my first experience here today shortly after they opened, and I was instantly met with a friendly face behind the counter. Her name is Clarissa! She advised me on all the food options, and sold me on a plate off the BEST fish, moist chicken, and “hawaii shrimp truck like” garlic rice I’ve ever had, and I used to live in Hawaii. It was so good, that after my class at CCSF I walked out of my way back here for Pancit and more chicken… and they were not only happy to see me again, but sold me on another dish that was even better! Best little spot for Philippino food I’ve ever been too!! Give it a try and say hi to Clarissa! Thanks for listening. -Chris ”

“ Flavor-forward, Filipino box lunch / takeaway. The friendly, American-born pinoy staff greet with a smile upon entering — an unexpected (but most welcome) change when normally accustomed to seeing an auntie behind the counter. Beef Kaldereta, a highlight — savory beef stew with a creamy finish from liver paste in sauce. Chicken Adobo, on-point with soy sauce-to-vinegar proportion (slightly more salty than sour). Pork Sisig, charry goodness flavored with savory, sweet and vinegary. Pancit, impressively packed with vegetables and protein — a relief from the normal carb-only option (with a few slivers of carrot and cabbage) often encountered elsewhere. Dishes are clearly made with pride and high-quality in mind. An excellent option when exploring Filipino food (complete with explanations from the very helpful staff). ”

“ I ordered catering for my partner’s birthday party. Ordered 5 trays of food and they were all gone by the end of the night. My favorite was the pancit palabok and the lechon kawali. Will definitely come back for more! ”
